Bol is the oldest and most famous coastal settlement on the island of Brač. The history of this pearl reaches even the neolitic era, as well as the Roman Empire, as Romans came later and built their characteristic villae rusticae here. One of the most famous and certainly most beautiful natural attractions nearby is Zlatni rat beach.
Stretching over half a kilometer, it is a sandy oasis surrounded by a thick pine forest. Bol is the place of vinedressers, fishermen and sailors, and today is a great tourism center, equipped with hotels, private houses and rentable apartments. Restaurants offer gastronomic delights, including original dalmatian recipes and there are many activities for any visitor - diving, sailing, tennis, fitness centers, and much more. We don’t recommend mooring at the outer pier as it’s not protected from the swell.
